The Jersey Shore is forever altered; houses crushed, boardwalks shattered and people killed thanks to the awful Superstorm. A week later, 110 people are dead and more than 900,000 people are still without power. At the height of the storm 8 million people were in the dark. At least 23 states felt the effects of Sandy, which morphed from a
hurricane into a wintry superstorm stretching nearly 600 miles. Sandy
was so big, forecasters said, that if it had been a country it would
have ranked as the 20th-largest in the world. More on gas shortages and the 40,000 people displaced by Sandy looking for relief. |
