As it builds coalition on Syria, U.S faces skeptical alliesWill President Obama get the support he needs to go after Syria? The guessing game ends this week with Congress back from vacation. Will he get the blessing from the House and the Senate? My sources say no.

The United States has no military allies in its plan to launch missile attacks against Syria as punishment for the country's use of chemical weapons at least that's what White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough said Sunday on CNN and NBC. McDonough did add that anyone whose seen the intelligence on the use of chemical weapons has no doubt that Syrian President Assad used them on his own people.

Assad tells a different story to CBS's Charlie Rose he apparently got an exclusive interview which will air on his Monday morning show. Tonight on America Tonight we fill in the blanks.

Rough Day for Kerry PDF Print E-mail

Russian President Vladamir Putin says the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry lied to Congress about the militant group Al Qaeda's role in Syria.

"They lie beautifully, of course. I saw debates in Congress. A congressman asks Mr Kerry: 'Is al Qaeda there?' He says: 'No, I am telling you responsibly that it is not'," Putin said at a meeting of his human rights council in the Kremlin.

"Al Qaeda units are the main military echelon, and they know this," he said, referring to the United States. "It was unpleasant and surprising for me - we talk to them, we proceed from the assumption that they are decent people. But he is lying and knows he is lying. It's sad."

In an exchange with a senator, Kerry was asked whether it was "basically true" that the Syrian opposition had "become more infiltrated by Al Qaeda over time. Kerry said: "No, that is actually basically not true. It's basically incorrect".

Not to mention a protester with Bloody hands screamed until being removed. The person was part of the anti-war group Code Pink; others had signs that read, "Out of Syria Now". The blood by the way was fake. More on Syria tonight with terrorism expert Jeff Addicott.

Bradley Manning, the Army private whose disclosure of hundreds of thousands of U.S. military and diplomatic documents was sentenced to more than three decades in prison Wednesday. A military judge sentenced Manning to 35 years, far less than the 60 the prosecutors were pushing for and nowhere near the 90 he could have received as a sentence.

What's next? Manning is seeking a pardon from President Obama. Tonight did Manning get off easy or did he get the shaft?

Today this man Pfc. Bradley Manning will find out if he'll spend the rest of his life behind bars for aiding the enemy. After spending three years in custody on charges of the largest classified leak in U.S. history it's now judgement time.

A verdict from the judge in the court-martial of Manning will be announced at 1 p.m. ET Tuesday, according to a spokeswoman for the military district of Washington.

If found guilty on the aiding the enemy charge, Manning could be sentenced to life in prison. He has pleaded guilty to nearly a dozen lesser charges that carry a sentence of up to 20 years behind bars. Whistle-blower or a traitor who betrayed his country?

If you were a big Sopranos' fan you loved, hated and watched this guy from 1999 to the final episode on in 2007. James Gandolfini won 3 Emmys playing mob boss Tony Soprano, he quite simply nailed this character. He died from a heart attack while spending time in Italy. Tonight big moments on the show. Also game 7 in the NBA, does the Heat win back to back Championships. Plus Drones, TWA flight 800 and drug testing people on food stamps which if any are fair or foul.
