The Goods PDF Print E-mail

Every once in awhile we have to lighten up here on America Tonight so we give you the goods. Stuff that'll make you smile even if it's tough with our frustrations over what's happening in Washington and the pounding so many are taking in the wallet. So check this out a guy named Anthoney Castro who was once homeless wins the lottery in Idaho and says he's going to donate some of the $250,000 dollars he won to his church.

How about the 13 year old paper boy who called 911 when he heard a call for help. Instead of leaving it at that he looked around and found 93 year old Madeline Murphy lying on the ground outside of her house. She lost her balance had fallen and couldn't get up so young J.T. Carroll helped her up.

Enjoy the weekend.

Northeast Storm The weekend is here and in the Northeast everyone is digging out once again. This is the 3rd blizzard in less than a month I bet people from Maine to New Jersey are tired of shoveling. In New York people are talking about more than the white stuff as the Governor has tongues wagging. Governor David Paterson has decided not to run again, gee are you shocked? The New York Times sunk his chances with a bunch of articles revealing among other things the possibility of his helping an Aide a decade ago wiggle out of domestic abuse criminal charges by allegedly pressuring the woman.

White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers announces she will step down next month..gee I wonder why? She says she set up the Framework that she wanted in creating the People's House and making it a place where all would be welcome including State Dinner party crashers. Enjoy the weekend...happy sleding.

Stack, 53, is believed to have crashed his plane into a building housing IRS offices.
Two people were killed, two others hospitalized after 53 year old Andrew "Joe" Stack flew his plane into an IRS office in Austin Texa last week. He left a 3,000 word manifesto railing against the government and the IRS. Everyone around him is at a loss for words saying they had no indication he was even upset.
People are tired of a system that rewards the rich with government bailouts and loop holes but really what did Stack accomplish on this suicide mission that killed innocent people. We'll talk it about it on America Tonight.
