Do you remember where you were on 9/11? Sadly the wounds are going to be reopened or New Yorkers when professed September 11th Mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and four accused co-conspirators are tried in a federal court in lower Manhattan.

Attorney General Eric Holder who was grilled by some of the members on the Senate Judiciary Committee says he has every confidence that the nation and the world will see Mohammed for the coward that he is and added "I'm not scared of what Khalid Sheik Mohammed has to say at trial — and no one else needs to be either."President Barack Obama on Wednesday predicted that Mohammed will be convicted and executed, as U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified in the Senate to defend the strategy of civilian trials for the alleged Sept. 11 plotters.

In an interview with NBC News, Obama said those offended by the legal privileges given to Mohammed by virtue of getting a civilian trial rather than a military tribunal won't find it "offensive at all when he's convicted and when tthe death penalty is applied to him." New York Democratic Senator Charles Schumer said initial cost estimates he had seen to secure the trials in lower Manhattan would be $75 million a year plus costs for added security around the city and additional police personnel. What about the Bull's-eye that this will put on New York and what about the emotional toll on the families who lost loved ones when the Towers were hit?

The U.S. government seeks forfeiture of at least three mosques, including this one in Houston, Texas.
If you've ever listened to America Tonight then you've heard various CIA, FBI folks and others talk about the money trail. A perfect example was the mirage that the Feds uncovered on Thursday linking several mosques and a New York skyscraper to the Alavi Foundation and Assa Corp. The Foundation and the Corporation both allegedly have links to the Iranian government.
A Civil complaint alleges that the Alavi Foundation provided services to the Iran and transferred money from 650 Fifth Avenue Company to Bank Melli, Iran's largest state-owned financial entity. U.S. and European Union officials last year designated Bank Melli as a proliferator for supporting Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs and funneling money to the Revolutionary Guard and Quds Force, considered terrorist groups by the United States.

 Image: Fort Hood shooting
An Army psychiatrist opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 31 others,The gunman, identified as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was wounded at the scene but was captured alive and was in stable condition. Eleven of the victims died at the scene, military officials said. A 12th died later at a hospital.

Hasan arrived at Fort Hood in July after practicing for six years at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. What was behind this horrific incident at Fort Hood? There was no official word on motive but Hasan was scheduled to be deployed to Iraq and was upset at having to go.

Here's the rest of the story the FBI says Hasan had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats. Word is they were getting ready to seize his computer just gathering the necessary warrants too bad the wheels of justice didn't turn a little faster. Share your thoughts on this awful tragedy on America Tonight at (800) 259-5791.
