Corzine Can't find the Dough PDF Print E-mail

John Corzine, the one time Governor and Senator from New Jersey seemed befuddled testifying before the House Agricultural Committee when he was pressed on clients missing money. Corzine, was the CEO of  MF Global Fund until the first week in November when he bailed on the shaky investment firm. He said losing clients money has bothered him every hour of every day but he has no idea where it went. Tell that to the ranchers, farmers and others who were slaughtered in the $1.2 billion dollar loss and want to know what happened to the money. MF Global fell apart and filed for bankruptcy making it the 8th largest in our history. Corzine by the way has the distinction of being the first Ex-Senator to be subpoenaed to testify and tell me your not surprised that Corzine is a former CEO of Goldman Saks. He might need that financial experience when he and his partners caught in the middle of a huge class action suit have to write a big check of their own. One can only hope.

By now most of you must have seen the sad images of a police officer spraying the faces of protesters staging a sit-in this past weekend at the University of California Davis campus in support of the Occupy movement. Since the video of the dozen or so people who were doused with a heavy duty stream of pepper spray - the industrial strength kind mind you - went viral the campus phone lines are burning up with people who want the Chancellor to get the boot. To be sure Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi is squirming as evidence of all her apologies to anyone who will listen. We'll talk about it tonight on ATN.
